ALF Statistics

Welcome to my ALF statistics corner.
I arranged this page with a few ALF numbers. If you have an idea for a new statistics kind type of thing, send me an e-mail with your idea. But now, here we go with our ALF stats...

All in all, 102 episodes of the original ALF series have been filmed. With an average length of 23 minutes for each episode that is 2346 minutes of ALF, or 39 hours and 6 minutes.

According to a survey made in the year 1997, the most tv series made in the USA do not reach the number of 50 episodes. From that point of view, ALF (102 episodes) can be regarded as a very successful show.

So, what person on the show is the character the most episodes do focus on? For that, I viewed the first and the second seasons of ALF and set one character of the show the main character of the episode. I tried to choose that one which was the one the story really based on. Now, here are the results (of course totally subjective and not representative at all):

  • ALF: 37 episodes (episodes no.# 1-8, 11, 14, 16-21, 23, 25-28, 30-32, 34, 36, 38+39, 41-44, 46, 49-52)
  • Willie: 5 episodes (episodes no.# 9, 12, 35, 47, 48)
  • Kate: 2 episodes (episodes no.# 13, 37)
  • Brian: 2 episodes (episodes no.# 22, 24)
  • Dorothy: 1 episodes (episode no.# 15)
  • Mrs. Ockmaneck: 1 episodes (episode no.# 29)
  • Jake: 1 episodes (episode no.# 40)
  • Jody: 1 episodes (episode no.# 45)

So, according to this results that would be 74% for ALF, 10% for Willie, 4% for Kate and Brian, and 2% for Dorothy, Mrs. Ockmaneck, Jake and Jody.

That's all, folks! :-)
