ALF at "Hollywood Squares"

Although the hit comedy "ALF" is more than 12 years old now, ALF still is a topic and around everywhere: In the last years the furry alien was getting talk about with his appearances at "Fox & Friends" on the Fox News Channel, at "E: Talk Soup!" and of course because of being the stars of the 10-10-220 commercials.

This page is now dedicated to ALF's most recent appearance: For a week, ALF was guest in the daytime show "Hollywood Squares", as part of their "College Tournament" weeks from Februar 24-28, 2003.
And as lots of people are living in area's without "H2" on syndication, without cable or just outside the US in general, and this way had no chance to watch it themselves, there's all the info, links, pictures and video clips about it on this page now. Enjoy! :-)

"Hollywood Squares" is a half-hour game show, in which candidates are supposed to handelt es sich um eine Spielshow, in der Kandidaten die Richtigkeit von Antworten von Prominenten einschätzen müssen, um Felder eines "TicTacToe"-Spiel zu gewinnen. It may sound confusing, but in actually isn't: Concretely host Tom Bergeron is asking a celebrity of the TicTacToe-squares a question (often even one of the Yes/No-kind), the celebrity answers the question and the candidate has to say if the answer is really true or not (when the celebrity just made the answer up :-) ).
The show is running quite successful in the so-called syndication TV since it has been re-introduced in 1998, and internationally there also have been other versions of it in other countries.

Although ALF generally just very rarely does appearances in front of a studio audience, Hollywood Squares was an exception and of course ALF was welcomed enthusiasticly.

Playing together with the candidates or also towards host Tom Bergeron ALF was quick-witted as usal. Unfortunately, as he was in the upper left square, he wasn't nominated that often.

Some of the shows from the week with ALF have not been aired in some regions of the USA, because there was special coverage due to current weather situation with massive snow etc.

Update March 26, 2003: And because ALF was just very well recieved by all viewers of the show, he's gonna be on for another week of "Hollywood Squares" from April 14 to 18!
